Florian Slotawa: Solothurn, aussen was published on the occasion of the artist’s solo exhibition at Kunstverein Solothurn in 2008.

By regrouping the sculptures of the park of Kunstmuseum Solothurn and compacting their placement, Slotawa creates new relationships between the objects, their placement, and the park's visitors. He interrogates the functions of the park in terms of aesthetics, action, and perception, and restages the ensemble anew. In the project Solothurn, aussen the artist continues his way of working where he always starts: with the given situation. Often, found objects from everyday life and art become sculptural material in his work; the artist takes pictures, sculptures, and objects, furniture, cars, tableware, and other everyday objects and combines them to form temporary sculptural arrangements. In so doing, he analyzes the constellations they present to him on site and transfers them to a new order of their own.

The publication is accompanied by an essay by Sabine Rusterholz as well as an interview between the artist Florian Slotawa and Andreas Fiedler.
